- Real transparency, not a white square
- Each one was cut from its original photo, so the file carries an alpha channel and composites cleanly over any colour. Downloads are WebP — the same alpha, a fraction of the bytes of a PNG.
- Free, under CC BY 4.0
- Use them commercially, edit them, build on them. The only condition is attribution — the terms are on the licence page.
- Findable by what is in them
- Every image was read by a detection pass, so searching “red shoe” finds a red shoe even when the file is called Cutout. No account needed to search or download.
